Tell us a little about your piece?
I decided to make my piece quite traditional with the doves but also wanted to challenge myself to create something a bit different to my usual style. So I decided to incorporate a few 3D flowers, which were so much fun to make! I chose Matt 50 (black) for the background to make the turtle doves really stand out.

 

What was the most challenging part of the brief?
I think working with paper a lot thicker than I'm used to was definitely the most challenging part. I usually use 120-160gsm so working with 200gsm was difficult and took a lot longer to cut.

 

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?
I loved choosing three different colours to work with, and figuring out a way to incorporate them all into one piece of art. I mainly only cut from one colour so it was interesting to see what I could come up with.

 

How did you enjoy working with the Gmund Colours range?
I loved the paper! Very smooth to cut through and a lovely matt finish. I would definitely stick to thinner paper next time though!
