In Our Hands

Tell us a little about your piece?

I wanted to remind people that the fate of the ocean is in our hands. Our actions will determine if the oceans will thrive or will become increasingly empty.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

It was hard to settle on a single concept since the topic of oceans encompasses so many different things.

What part of the collaboration did you enjoy the most?

As usual, seeing the variety of techniques and creative visions of the other members was absolutely inspiring.

How did you enjoy working with the paper?

I really liked the PCW50 paper. It was a lot stronger than expected, and the colours were vibrant. The PCW100 paper was good, but the shorter fibres made for weaker paper, and I almost had a catastrophic failure. Luckily, I was able to salvage it and to hide the rip.
