My Northern Ireland
Tell us about your piece and how it represents the Country that you are from?
My end piece is quite personal to me and it probably can relate to a lot of people in Northern Ireland. This is ’My Northern Ireland’, this is what my country means to me; rainy days – always be prepared for rain all year round, farm life – if you’re not a farmer you’re certainly related to or know one, warming up by the stove – this is always the first thing we go to in the house, ingredients for mum’s irish stew – can’t beat it!
What was the most challenging part of the brief?
The most challenging part was choosing what to make. I had a long list of things that represented Northern Ireland but in the end I wanted to do something personal to me.
What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?
I thought it was a great concept to work with, I really enjoyed thinking of ideas and researching.
How did you enjoy working with Excel Blades?
The blades Excel provided are great, I’m still using them for other projects. They’re very strong and the tips don’t break easily like most blades. I really like the grip-on knife because it is comfortable and the grip works. They also have a wide range products to choose from on their website which is awesome.
