Tell us about your piece and how it represents the Country that you are from?

It represents the best thing to me about England - its beautiful countryside, and the colours of the woods and hills where I grew up in Gloucestershire. Now I'm away from England so much I'm also aware of how much the changing seasons are part of life there and the wonderful colours each season brings.

What was the most challenging part of the brief?

I had a number of different ideas for the brief and it was difficult to decide which idea to go with. My final decision involved quite a slow technique and I was a little worried I wouldn't finish in time!

What part of the brief did you enjoy the most?

The memories the project gave me of the beautiful place where I grew up.​

How did you enjoy working with Excel Blades?

The blades and knives were great. I really like the handle of the G18 knife. The blades lasted well and stayed sharp.
